A Friday Extra: What In The World Is Wrong With Me by Susan Hesse

endofyear2-1-of-1

As a special post this week (as my usual is Wednesday’s here!) I’d like to share with you a gift of a beautiful sister in Christ I have been blessed to get to know this past year. I met Susie through my  Christian writers group and have witnessed her ability to touch and comfort the hurting. Through her latest book, she continues to bring hope, faith, and love to all of us through God-breathed wisdom and prayers. Susie shares here with us an excerpt from her recently released book What In The World Is Wrong With Me, as well as answers questions for us about her own writing.

My friend today instead of pushing down or hiding the painful things that are affecting your life, God wants you to bring them into the light. This is because it’s the only way you can be totally and properly healed. By being brave and taking this step, you are now able to work through your issues and stumbling blocks. (pg 88)

 Prayer: For Healing Emotional Wounds

👏 Lord, the pain is so deep that I hardly know how to pray.

Please examine my inner being and reveal to me any areas of unresolved emotional pain, resentment or unforgiveness. Touch me I pray with Your love and begin the healing process within, that only you can accomplish.

Flood me with your healing and wholeness, and if there are areas in my heart that need to be confessed, or for which I need to repent, I pray that you would bring them to the forefront of my mind and set me free from the bondage of this deep and traumatized hurt.

I know that the Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit and I simply want to rest in your love and allow your streams of healing and strength to flood my heart my mind, my body, and my soul.

Thank you that You are the divine Physician and the God who heals all our pain. Keep me under the shadow of your wings and to You be all praise and glory forever.

Amen. (pg 95) What In The World is Wrong With Me (2016), Susan E Hesse

1) Whose life do I want to improve?

My writer’s purpose is to improve the lives of the lost and the found, the churched and the unchurched. What many go through I either relate to, still struggle or suffer with, or have been set free. Examples are feelings of rejection, divorce, abuse, strife, depression, suicidal thoughts, addictions, mental torments, and feelings of unworthiness. My mess becomes my message, tests becomes my stepping stones to share my testimony.
I have learned rejection needs acceptance.
Tormented souls need to be comforted.
People that have addictions need to hear testimonies to bring hope of freedom.
My words printed give guidance, bringing people back to the biblical God leading them to Godly truth so they open up to the Spirit Christ, which brings Divine inner peace and strength so readers may deal with Human weakness. The Spirit of Christ opens us up to His rest.

2) What will I to give to them?

The purpose of my books is to present the unique Biblical method for connecting with God through Jesus Christ in the power of simplicity. The Bible presents us with the peace that passes all understanding, an infused Divine peace that comes to us from beyond ourselves. So I give my readers hope, advice, instructions, directions, and prayer support.
3) What am I showing them?

I am showing them that God is touched with the feelings of our infirmities. That He came for the sick, He came for sinners, He came for the lost, because He loves to show us His grace, compassion and mercy. He came to teach us and show us how to live here now and forever more in Eternity. In my writing In Christ I am showing my readers they are not alone. Nor do they have to remain isolated, hidden, guilty, depressed, and living in their shame. They have a choice — Life or Death. They are informed that Christ came to save us, deliver us and give us faith, hope and a love that is out of this world.

THE SPIRIT OF CHRIST OPENS US UP TO HIS REST. GOD IS TOUCHED WITH THE FEELINGS OF OUR INFIRMITIES. THAT HE CAME FOR THE SICK, HE CAME FOR SINNERS, HE CAME FOR THE LOST AND HOPELESS BECAUSE HE LOVES TO SHOW US HIS GRACE, COMPASSION, AND MERCY. HE CAME TO MODEL AN EXAMPLE THAT LIFE IS BIRTHED THROUGH DEATH AND THAT A MESS CAN BECOME A MESSAGE AND SCARS ARE TURNED INTO STARS.♥️

  1. Hi Lynn and Susan! I love this line: “My mess becomes my message, tests becomes my stepping stones to share my testimony.” I thought that was very profound. Finding a place and a powerful role for mistakes and hurts really empowers, and allows us to open up to others in ways we never would on our own.
Best of blessings on your book!

  2. Hello Lynn and Susan, what a beautiful post! Susan, your words spoke straight to my heart. And this? “A MESS CAN BECOME A MESSAGE” right here. I needed this reminder. In the middle of the mess, I have a tendency to focus on that, rather than on Jesus. I tend to forget that He will use my current mess for future good.

Thank you so much for sharing this!
