When change comes upon us, whether started by us or placed upon us, we can become fearful of the unknown. Our security, our life-style, and our hopes can feel threatened. Sometimes we may panic, other times we may want to hide. We wonder if we are going to be okay.
I believe you are going to be okay!
You’re going to make it through.
Evergreens and poplar trees border the path I walk. The August sky is cloudless, the air calm but my mind is stormy.
What if I can’t do this? (I don’t have what it takes….)
What if all my efforts turn out nothing? (I am not enough….)
What if I am seen as too old to start something new? (It’s too late….)
What if I made a mistake? (I make wrong choices….)
The Encouraging Truth
The truth say different. The Truth says we have help, we are enough, we are made new no matter our stage of life, and we are given a new chance every day.
You have help.
Jeremiah 29:11 “‘For I know the plans I have for you,’ declares the Lord, ‘plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.’”
You are enough
For we are God’s handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do. – Ephesians 2:10
It’s not too late.
He has made everything beautiful in its time. He has also set eternity in the human heart; yet no one can fathom what God has done from beginning to end. I know there is nothing better for people than to be happy and to do good while they live. Ecclesiastes 3:11-12
He makes a new way.
Isaiah 43:19 “See, I am doing a new thing! Now it springs up; do you not perceive it? I am making a way in the wilderness and streams in the wasteland.”

As I walk, I see on the prairie shrubs yellow leaves among the green. The season is changing. Some leaves have changed early, while others have not yet stopped their food making process, a natural activity as the day’s temperature decreases. The chlorophyll is broken down, colours of orange and yellow appear, and the leaves become fall’s splendour.
And I am reminded that change can make splendour.
Be encouraged by change. All He makes is splendour, including you.

Lynn, I love your photos! They are a breath of fresh air this morning – and your words – even more! Thank you so much for this encouragement!
Thank you, Leslie. I’m glad you were refreshed!
All He makes is splendour. What an encouraging thought! Thank you, Lynn.
Yes, His word is so encouraging, always! Thanks for your thoughts here Lauren.
Oh, Lynn, your words and photographs, and, most of all, God’s Word has given me such a lift this day. I needed it for I was actually wondering how I would muster the energy to physically move from one state to another to be near family. I am only a few weeks away from the actual date, but, boy, am I beat! I am almost finished packing myself and had the garage sale and set up the movers, etc., etc…
I am going to take some calm moments to write these verses down to read and reread. So grateful God placed you a few blogs from mine on a link-up.
Thank you.
PS…your photos are absolutely beautiful!
Linda, I pray you move goes well, and that you are continually strengthened and feel His peace through all the details of moving! It is a big task–moving! And tiring! May you find rest for your mind in body in Him!
“Truth says we have help, we are enough, we are made new no matter our stage of life, and we are given a new chance every day” So encouraging as we face these changing days!
So grateful for all the encouragement His word offers! Thanks for your thoughts here, Joanna!
Lately, I’ve been praying and asking God to use me for His purpose and to give me the courage to step out in faith. Fear of the unknown can hold me back, then I lose out on God’s blessings.
Lynn, I love how God’s word always has truth to combat our doubts and strengthen us. (I am wanting to be on that lovely trail this morning.)
These truths are always welcome news! “The Truth says we have help, we are enough, we are made new no matter our stage of life, and we are given a new chance every day.” I never tire of hearing this.
What a beautiful picture of the woodland pathway, Lynn!
This is encouraging, “The season is changing. And I am reminded that change can make splendor. Be encouraged by change. All He makes is splendor, including you.”
I hope you are doing well in your transition and new building stage for the future.
A wonderfully encouraging post. And it came at the perfect time. Thank you 🙂
Lynn, it’s so easy to believe those lies you listed. I am sad to say, I’ve succumbed to more than one of them in the past. I’m so thankful God’s truth overcomes those lies and speaks life to our hearts and minds. The verses and photos you’ve shared are so meaningful!
